Welcome to my Wife, Dina Haggenjos!

Recently my wife, Dina, launched her women’s health coaching business, Free Well.  For as long as I’ve known Dina she has been a researcher and idea generator both professionally traveling around the world and in everyday life. She’s been certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, is a professional member of the Evidenced Based Birth community, an advocate for the local birthing community, and a leader of the Cincinnati Homebirth Collaborative, and she’s currently getting certified as a postpartum doula.  She deeply cares about a woman’s journey and I know she has so much to offer women and their families.  I could not be more proud of her and know she is primed to help so many!

I wanted to give her a chance to highlight a few of her offerings and resources.  Next month, we’ll have a video together where she’ll share more of what’s in store for Free Well!

From Dina:
Hello friends!  How neat (and sort of surreal) to be on Pete’s newsletter in this capacity.  I have always been passionate about my health and wellness but I found myself at a crossroads when I just wasn’t feeling well or healthy.  Just because I knew what wellness was did not mean I felt it (you can read more about that journey here and how I went from there to health coaching).

My mission with Free Well is to get women curious about themselves and create a wellness that was made for them.  I want to take you from feeling like “there’s my life, and there’s my wellness” to “the way I’m living my life is my wellness.”

What does it come down to?  It comes down to making sure the things that make your life uniquely yours, are considered and intersect with your creativity, your free will, and your wellness.  I have 4 key principles that guide how I work with clients (think of these as my approach) integrative health and nutrition, empathy, creativity, and autonomy.  It is through this approach that I help women tackle their goals, reduce stress and anxiety, enjoy their pregnancy, and create their (new) postpartum reality, and just get to actually feeling well!

So whether you are wanting to tackle some health goals, have doctor’s orders you need help on achieving, pregnant, or have a new baby in arms – OR like me, just want to actually feel well – these principles help us customize a wellness plan for you!

I work with clients both in-person and virtually and offer a variety of packages which you can read more about here.  I also offer a free 15-minute phone consult to see if we’re the right fit for each other and address questions you might have.

Here’s a quick highlight of my offerings:

Clarity Seeker – 75-minute session to sift and clarify
Kickstart My Wellness – 3 months, 1 on 1 coaching, foundation, and momentum gained
Wellness In MY World – 6 months, 1 on 1 coaching, the ultimate self-love, and healing with full integration
Mother Well – 3 months, 1 on 1 coaching with prenatal/postnatal support
Mothering Well Virtual village – a virtual coaching group centered on prenatal and postnatal themes, feel empowered not fearful, together
Momentum Keeper – for existing and past clients, education, inspiration, and momentum

Also, check out the site – it houses recipes, a blog where we will explore our humanness especially when it comes to this idea of “being well”, and freebies for download to help you on your journey to find out what sustainable wellness could look like for you!

For more information on my practice and what is a health coach read about that here!  If you’d like to connect feel free to contact me at [email protected] or via the Contact page OR find me on Instagram @myfreewell  or @dina_haggenjos

If you’re interested in what I could bring to your wellness journey I would love to chat with you!  And next month, I look forward to showing up on video format with Pete!  (p.s. If you’re curious about Pete and how his relationship with food compares to mine you can read about that here – spoiler!  they were very different!)

Chiropractic Care for Pregnant Women

Many of you know we help many pregnant women at the office! This PDF we created details many of the benefits for prenatal chiropractic. Some recent research also supports our efforts:

Awesome T Cells and Good News on the CoronaVirus

This article has very promising details about our T Cells and how people may have strong, protective immune responses from this segment of our immune system, aside from any antibody activity.

T Cells have memory and ‘cross reactivity’ meaning that exposure to other viruses previously in your life that are similar in characteristic to COVID-19 will still trigger your T Cells ability to react and defend. So you could have been exposed to COVID-19 and your T Cells may have helped you respond effectively, even if your antibody levels are not showing a response.
