Join us for an Open House Saturday 11/4

On Saturday November 4th, from 3-5 PM, we will host an Open House to welcome Suzanne Lautz Singh and Rebecca Baumann to the second floor, joining Chrisanthi Fekkos and Kelly Nickel. We are so pleased to have such a talented group of massage therapists upstairs!

Expect to see Suzanne, Dr. Pete, Chrisanthi, Shawna and Laura at the Open House. Rebecca and Kelly, unfortunately, will be unable to attend. Rebecca’s room will be open so people can check out the unique set up for her ashiatsu style work and see pictures of this technique.

All of the massage therapists have different specialties and this Open House is an opportunity to learn more about each one. Snacks and drinks will be served. No RSVP needed. We look forward to seeing you!

Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

There will be no chiropractic appointments Thursday November 23rd and Friday November 24th for Thanksgiving.  We will be open again at 8:30AM on Monday November 27th.

Standard Process 21 Day Purification Program

It’s that time of year to make plans to joins us in January 2018 for the annual SP Purification program.

Are you looking for a great way to ‘reset’ your health? Maybe you would like to:

  • improve your health, energy, sleep and nutrition
  • lose weight
  • drop dependence on sugar or caffeine
  • improve blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure
  • join a group of people also making a 21-day commitment to better health habits.

Join us for the Standard Process 21-day Purification Program in January!

The purification program is designed to give your digestive system the nutrients and rest that it needs to heal and improve function. You will eat healthy meals throughout program (it’s not a fast) and also take several Standard Process supplements to help your digestive system.

I will be participating again this year as I like to give my body a healthy reset to start the year. Last year around 35 people participated in the January program with great results. Click here to read some of the experiences people shared with me.

We will have a kickoff class at Thrive on January 3, 2018 at 7:00 PM. At this class we will go over the details to insure your success.

We are taking orders now for the purification kits. The total cost for the program is $209 + tax. We are pleased to announce that chocolate and vanilla flavors are now available along with the regular and dairy-free choices! Email or call us to sign up and get started or to ask any questions.

We can order kits to ship to the office or directly to your house within a couple days (or if you wish to do the program at another time). If you are unable to attend the class, you may still participate. We have tips and advice we can email you so you can start on your own.

Spinal Adjustments for Headache Relief

The study Chiropractic Spinal Manipulative Therapy for Cervicogenic Headache: A Single-Blinded, Placebo, Randomized Controlled Trial looked at the effect of pharmacological management (medicine) versus chiropractic spinal manipulation and placebo non-chiropractor (sham) manipulation.

This study found that a spinal manipulation worked better than medication. Even sham manipulations had better results in reducing headaches than medicine.

There are several other studies that found spinal manipulation to be effective on headaches.

“Our main results demonstrate reduction in headache frequency and headache index in the chiropractic spinal manipulative therapy and the placebo group, and effect that lasted at follow-up while the control group was unchanged throughout the randomized controlled trial.”

Aside from efficacy, the fact that these people in the study improved without using medication helped them to avoid the side effects of medication as well.
