Scheduled Appointments and Walk-Ins

We are happy to accept walk-ins in addition to our scheduled appointments. As the practice has grown, the wait time for walk-ins may be longer than it was years ago. Sometimes you may still be able to get in with 10-15 minutes, yet other times it could be 30-40 minutes or more. On very busy days before holidays or vacation  sometimes our schedule is completely full.

Remember that you can always call Shawna to get an idea of when the best times are to come in, even on the same day. You are still welcome to walk-in without calling, we just want you to be aware that we may not always be able to fit you right in.

We do take care with our schedule to make sure there is time each day for unexpected last minute injuries. We also limit the number of new people we accept into the practice each week so that we can best accommodate all of you! Thank you.

More Supplements Now Available in Office

If you’ve been to the office recently you may have noticed the new shelves for our supplements. This new shelving allows us more room to keep a wider variety of our nutritional supplements in stock.

Here are a few examples of the items we now keep in stock:

Please also keep in mind that any of the Standard Process, MediHerb or Innate Choice products can be shipped directly to your house or our office. We stock our most commonly used products but can order any of the hundreds of options best suited for you.

Study Suggests Laboring Before C-Section Beneficial

A new study published in JAMA shows that laboring before pregnancy may provide health benefits to the baby. According to this article in from the New York Times, babies born from emergency C-sections where the mother spent some time in labor are generally healthier long term than babies born during a planned, labor free C-section.

When a baby is born naturally they are exposed to bacteria from the mother that may help boost their immune system. Even if a baby is born during an unplanned C-section they still get some exposure to that bacteria. Labor also provides many physical and hormonal changes that help the baby as they grow up.
