Life is about learning and when you find that subject that truly brings you joy, purpose and inspiration, the journey becomes magical. I have been fortunate to have found this in my studies and practice of Art and Bodywork.

I hold Advanced Certifications in Myofascial Release taught by John Barnes P.T. and also completed in- depth studies of Visionary Craniosacral Work, taught by Hugh Milne- Osteopath and Visionary. I also hold a master level REIKI certification and advance 5-Element Training, taught by Bruce Davis. Included in my studies are also Chakra Healing and Raindrop Therapy certifications. I bring all these elements of knowledge to each session. My hope and intention is to assist each client, by releasing restrictions in the body to minimize or free the body from pain and to promote a greater potential for wellness. A fluid body is a free body and a free body is an important element of health.

I have been practicing Bodywork since 2007 and truly feel honored to do this work.

Most Sunday Evenings I am at Elemental OM, in Montgomery, offering REIKI during the Restorative Yoga class. REIKI is the transfer of CHI, also known as universal life force energy or Prana, through the palms of the practitioner and can be felt as warmth or heat. Through the focused intention of the practitioner, increase energy movement has the potential to occur, creating a more balanced flow of Prana within the energetic channels of the body.

Myofascial Release is one of the true forms of natural and holistic therapy for many disorders. The focus is to release restrictions in the connective tissue of the body. Connective Tissue or Fascia is a 3 dimensional web of fluid, elastic and collagen fibers that runs continuously throughout the body. Through physical and emotional trauma adhesions can occur within this tissues creating discomfort and re-occurring pain. Fascial adhesions can create pulls within the body of up to 2000 pounds, effecting muscles, bones, nerves, circulation and vital organs and functions. Through the John F. Barnes P.T. approach, gentle sustained pressure is applied to the body moving into areas of the fascial restrictions until a tissue softening is felt. Once the release occurs the tissue is beginning to return to a more fluid like structure and thus increases range of motion and gives relief from pain. Myofascial Release aides and facilitates the client into a state of Health.

Craniosacral Work, evolved out of Cranial Osteopathy from the insights, research and practice of William Garner Sutherland. This modality focuses on the 22 bones that make up the human head, the vertebra and sacrum as well as the brain, central nervous system, cerebral spinal fluid and the system of membranes inside the cranium and spinal column. One focus of the work is to optimize the position, fluid movement (wave) and energy (CHI) of the cranial sacral system. Another focus is to bring the cranial sacral system back into balance with the central line of the body (also referred to as midline).
