Unnecessary Antibiotic Use Creating Problems
In recent years we have seen an increase in bacteria that are resistant to our most common antibiotics. The concern is that people are pressuring doctors to prescribe drugs for colds, flu, and other viruses that do not respond or need antibiotics.
Furthermore, compulsive use of the antibacterial lotions and gels is disrupting the normal flora on the skin. Our skin is actually an organ system and it is designed to protect us from microbes without excessive use of antibacterial applications. Washing the hands with regular soap and warm water vigorously is the best approach to keeping healthy.

Also, remember if you do end up in a situation where you are taking an antibiotic, there are some easy solutions to help replenish the good bacteria in your gut afterward. Unfortunately, antibiotics are not sensitive enough to discriminate between the flora that is helpful for us. Contact me with questions about the probiotic protocol. We use 2 Standard Process supplements.
Recommendations for Baby-Carriers, Strollers, and Good Spinal Health for Kids
This website has some great information and research for parents. It is the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Just like for adults, even babies and children should not be limited to the same position for long periods of time. Movement is the key! In the case of babies, this means holding them in a variety of different positions, not keeping them in one position all day.
As always, please call or email with any questions!
